Egypt invites Norway to co-chair conference in Sharm el-Sheikh

Egypt has invited to Norway to co-chair the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Economy for the Reconstruction of Gaza, scheduled to take place in Sharm el-Sheikh on March 2nd.
The Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has received an invitation from the Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit to co-chair the International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Economy for the Reconstruction of Gaza. The conference will be held at foreign minister level and in full coordination with the Palestinian Authority. The Egyptian efforts will be aimed at securing the arrangements stipulated by the UN Security Council 1860. Norway has the chairmanship of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC) for aid to the Palestinian Authority and willingly accepted the invitation.
